The Chevy Silverado is on a roll in terms of sales. The truck is up 14.6% over the first half of 2015, when compared to the same period of 2014. The GMC Sierra is also doing good. It’s up 8.2% over the same period. These two are the best improved full-size pickup trucks in terms of sales numbers. And Chevrolet is looking to keep the momentum with a face-lifted 2016 Silverado.

The hood, grille, and front bumper all receive a style update. There is a new LED light signature, a more angular appearance, and vertical fog lights down below.

Of course, the update comes with additional features as well. The refreshed truck will offer both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto device integration. It comes with an updated version of the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system. The announcement from Chevrolet is short on other details, but it does say that the 2016 model year will see the 8-speed automatic transmission to be available on more Silverado trim levels. The company did not elaborate on the exact engine and trim combinations for the transmission. However, Chevrolet states that the truck will have additional safety technologies.

Perhaps, the truck will have the latest adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and other driver-aide features?

The 2016 truck will make a public debut in the fall of 2015. More details will become available around this time. TFLtruck will keep you updated on all the latest developments.
