The best improved pickup truck in February 2015 was the Chevy Silverado with 24.1% sales increase. The other big news is the F-series sales that were slightly down for the month (-1.2%). It’s still early to tell how well the new aluminum F-150 is being received. It’s normal to see slower sales during a new model changeover, as supply of the new vehicles is limited by production. Ford’s second plant in Kansas City will come online this month, so it maybe another one or two month before we can get a better idea of the new F-150 volumes.
Ram continues to see sales growth, as well as the GMC lineup. The Nissan Titan continues to slide, as customers are looking to the all-new 2016 model that should go on sale at the end of the calendar year. Data is not yet available for the Toyota Tundra.
