The big question in the full-size pickup truck market has been: how well will the 2015 Ford F-150 start selling? We get to see the initial picture with the report of January sales. Overall, the Ford F-series grew 16.8% over January of last year. It’s not easy to get specific F-150 numbers, but we do know that F-150 grew 21% in the Denver Rocky Mountain region. Ford defines the Denver Rocky Mountain region as: Colorado, Utah, lower Idaho, and northern Wyoming. Trucks are important in this region and 21% growth is a good sign for Ford.
However, the best improved pickup truck was the Chevy Silverado with 24.8% sales increase. Pretty much all full-size pickups improved, with the exception of the Nissan Titan.

In fact, the Colorado and Canyon combined sales could challenge the Tacoma for top spot within the next few months. The redesigned 2016 Tacoma cannot come soon enough.
