There were no fewer than five new pickup trucks revealed at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

2016 Nissan Titan

Nissan showed full commitment to the full-size pickup segment with the all-new 2016 Titan. They are bringing two distinct chassis, three cab configurations, three bed lengths, and three engine choices. There are also five grade levels. The big news are the 5.0L Cummins V8 turbo-diesel and the 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission that backs it up.  This is basically a heavy-duty truck setup in a light-duty packaging.

2017 Ford Raptor

The 2017 Ford Raptor made a splash at the show. Yes, it’s not ready for production until the end of 2016, and it holds some surprises within. The next generation 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine is said to make more power than the current 6.2L V8. That is over 411 horsepower from the twin-turbo V6.

Hyundai Santa Cruz Concept

The Hyundai Santa Cruz crossover pickup concept surprised everybody. Hyundai has previously said that they have no intention to fight the established pickup truck manufacturers.  However, this crossover-based pickup truck is aimed at a different and more urban audience.

2016 Toyota Tacoma

Toyota showed us the all-new 2016 Toyota Tacoma. Although, the exterior design is evolutionary, Toyota went over the truck with a fine comb. They updated the frame, changed all body panels, brought in a new 3.5L V6, a 6-speed automatic, and interior refinements.

2015 Ram Rebel

Ram brought the 2015 Rebel off-road sport package. Exterior gets very distinctive and strong styling. Check out those huge letters on the tailgate! It’s using Ram’s air suspension with one inch of added ground clearance and rides on 33-inch Toyo off-road tires and unique rims. It’s available with two engine choices: the 3.6L Pentastar V6 and the 5.7L HEMI V8. A 3.92 rear-end gears are also available.
