The 2015 Detroit Auto Show is shaping up to be a hot battle ground for pickup trucks. Toyota executive has confirmed that the next-generation Toyota Tacoma joins the others for serious truck battle in Detroit. Nissan announced that the 2016 Nissan Titan will be officially unveiled for the first time at the January show.

The all-new 2015 Ford F-150, 2015 Chevy Colorado, and 2015 GMC Canyon just recently hit the dealerships. GM’s midsize trucks got to a good sales start in November. The F-150 started selling this month, so there is no official data on it yet.

Will other manufacturers just stand back and watch? The answer is – No. There is now information that Toyota is planning to show the next-generation Tacoma in Detroit, at least in near-production concept form. There are rumors that Ford will bring a concept version of the next aluminum SVT Raptor. This may be a good move for Ford to grab most of the attention and outshine the competition.

And Honda is preparing the reveal of its all-new Honda Ridgeline pickup. There is official word that the next Ridgeline will be shown in 2015, but the exact date is unknown at this time.

This is a great time to be a truck fan! 2015 and beyond will be a great opportunity for consumers to choose among the latest mid-size, full-size, and heavy duty trucks.
