This 1941 Dodge Command Car was featured at Dodge’s 100th Anniversary event. It was a favorite among many journalists and it was one of the few vehicles driven that day that could nearly reach its top speed during the short driving loop.

Dodge had a 1/2-ton commercial truck that was used to build the 1941 Dodge Command Car. This model has an 80 horsepower, flat-head six cylinder that was bolted to a four-speed manual transmission. Driving it took a hint of finesse and a bit of brute force. Changing gears smoothly required double clutching both in and out of gear.

Consider the 1941 Dodge Command Car a cousin to the original Power Wagon.
