The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is one of the baddest trucks in the land.

It can tow 8,000 pounds, seat 5 comfortably, haul all of your stuff and still race across the desert at over 100 MPH in perfect air-conditioned comfort. That’s why we at TFLtruck chose the 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor as our first long-term test truck.

Usually, truck manufacturers supply us with pickups to test for a week at a time. We wanted to test the best selling truck in the land for durability and reliability which meant buying a Ford F-150. But not just any Ford F-150, the most powerful and the most off-road worthy version that Ford builds.  So, TFLtruck got a loan an made the purchase.

In Episode 1 of this long-term test Roman travels to Dearborn, Michigan to Ford’s Rouge assembly plant to watch the birth of  The Fast Lane Truck’s first long term test truck the 2014 SVT Raptor.

If you are interested in seeing how a Ford F-150 is built…you’ll certainly appreciate this video as we learn what it takes to build a new Ford F-150 up close in Michigan.
