(Part 2) Light Duty Towing Matchup – 2014 Toyota Tundra with Boat Trailer

2014 toyota tundra towing boat video

In another fun and informative TFLtruck video we decided to find out which of these three trucks is the fastest from 0-60 MPH and which one is fastest towing a boat from 0-60 MPH at a mile above sea level.  The trucks in this test are: 2014 Toyota Tundra Limited, 2013 Ram 1500 Sport, and 2013 Ford F-150 Limited.  All trucks are crew cabs and equipped with 4×4.

Part 2 of this ultimate towing challenge sees the 2014 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Limited 4×4 tow our test boat from 0-60 MPH.  This truck has the 5.7-liter iForce V8 engine.  Of course, we ran the 2013 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Limited 4×4 through this exact test back in August.  We used the same stretch of road, same driver, and the same boat and trailer.  The 2013 was slower as you can see here.  Both 2014 and 2013 models have the same drivetrain, and the only major difference was the ambient temperature.  It was around 81 F for the 2014 test, and around 94 F for the 2013.
