Ford teams up with local YMCA to help kids in need get ready for Halloween

Monster f-150 2 final

Ford has teamed up with the YMCA of Metro Denver to promote donations of new Halloween costumes in order to provide under privileged children in the YMCA programs of the Denver area with something special to wear this October 31st. The Ford F-150 Costume for Kids event got underway this past Saturday at the Punkin Chunkin Festival in Aurora Colorado.

This first time costume drive is setting out to collect as many donations as possible and any contributions of new costumes or accessories.  The star of the show was the one of a kind “Monster” vinyl wrapped 2013 Ford F-150 Limited. The truck showcased a solid light blue base with arms and legs stretching out across the sides, teeth through the front bumper and a spooky pair of monster eyes on the hood.

This particular F-150 featured a 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine with a spacious Crew Cab  in order to transport the Ford team around and a 5 ½  foot bed that is more than capable of hauling around plenty of donated costumes. The “Monster” F-150 was available for viewing and pictures all day at the Punkin Chunkin and can be seen at various Ford dealers throughout the month.

“There is a lot of kids that take part in the YMCA program that don’t have the funds or the resources to have their own Halloween costume and when you are a little kid if you don’t have a costume you feel like you are missing out on the whole spectacle of Halloween” Said Nick Binks, Event Manager.
