Throwback Thursday: 2011 Ford F-150 Raptor – Running a Rally Course

The Ford F-150 Raptor is definitely more fun in the wide open spaces, and in this throwback video we wanted to find out how the big off-road focused truck would do on a dirt rally course.  This type of terrain is what the Raptor was built for – high speed off-road running.   This rally course was not too rough, but it provided good straightaways and lots of tight corners.  This 2011 Raptor crew cab with the 6.2L V8 ate it all up and asked for more.  The big V8 makes 411 hp @ 5,500 and big 434 lb-ft of torque @ 4,500 rpm.  It was plenty of power to propel this heavy beast down the straights.  The brakes worked well and the extra power was nice for inducing fun oversteer through and out of the corners.
