The first eight months of 2013 under our belts and the truck segment continues double digit sales gains.
The all new 2014 Silverado and Sierra are gaining sales traction. The redesigned 2014 Tundra just started production. Ram has just introduced the light duty EcoDiesel and 2014 Ram heavy duty. Ford and Nissan are not to be outdone. Ford is preparing the redesigned F-150 and Nissan is teaming up with Cummins on the next Titan diesel.
All pickups showed huge double digit growth in the month of August, with the exception of the aging Titan. The Tundra flatlined in anticipation of the immanent updated 2014 model.
Ram line showed the strongest August month-over-month growth at 31.0%. The Sierra delivered a monstrous 49.3% growth over last July. The Ford F-Series showed that it has plenty of steam as it rolled past the magic 70K sales per month with 71,115 truck leaving the dealerships.
